We are team of BAAHKP since long year as well as we works for so many works in our area also different area, in such way that we are support the people In the time of flood, cyclone, education or medical case, if emergency we donate some thing as much our capacity,

The objective is to improve the standard of living and quality of life of the resources poor with emphasis to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, women, rural, assistance, migrant labour ,construction workers, youth and adolescence, women under difficult Circumstances, children remaining under the clutches of vicious circle, physically challenged persons and children with disability etc,

Genesis of the Organisation :

Banki Anchalika Adibasi Harijan Kalyan Parisad(BAAHKP)Started by a small group of young people in a remote part of Cuttack with a specific vision to work for the most backward section of the society, namely the Dalits and the Tribal in the early part of 1980s. This group of young people undertook exemplary work and worked for the people without much external assistance. This small initiative got instant support from the target group who urged them to work more for them. Buoyed by this spontaneous response fro the people it was decided to bring all people with similar thought process on a single platform and was christened as Banki Anchalika Adibasi Harijan Kalyan Parisad(BAAHKP). Latter it was decided to give this small forum a legal status to make the intervention more effectively. According the organization was registered with proper authorities as a voluntary Organization in 1984. Later for access to overseas funding the organization was also registered under relevant acts. Since than the organization has not looked back and is working for fulfilling the long-term objectives of serving the universal common goal.

To recognize people’s governance and rights of the people for sustainable development.
Expertise of the Organisation:
The organization has a good track record and expertise in the field of community mobilization, communication, IEC promotion, programme formulation & management, Issue based approach, Advocacy & Lobby, Monitoring & Evaluation, and Documentation etc.

Mission & Vision

To work for the empowerment of the people, especially the poor, so that they can voice their concern and demand their just full rights from the authorities without any fear or favour.
BAAHKP envisions a society free from hunger and exploitation where there is no discrimination on grounds of caste, class, sex, creed, language, religion and region, where everyone gets the opportunity to develop his/her potential to be a good citizen without any artificial barrier placed before him/her.

Goals & Objectives

The main objectives of the organization are to give free and compulsory education to the children below fourteen years, provide assistance to the weaker sections, especially the disadvantaged, orphans, disabled, women, children, marginal & small farmers, labour, worker class, water and sanitation in the rural areas, STs , SCs, to carry out developmental activities in socio-economic, education and agricultural fields for the welfare of the society .

Area Of Operation

At present BAAHKP is working in 14 Blocks of Cuttack District , Khandapada Block of Nayagarh District ,Begunia Block of Khurda District and Harabhanga Block of Boudh District. in the State of Orissa. The Organisation providing services actively in almost 1500 villages of these districts. More than 30,000 people are directly or indirectly benefiting from the activities of the organization.

Infrastructure:

In its almost more than two & half decades of existence, the organization has been able to create an impressive infrastructure which is being used by the organization for undertaking various activities.

Approach :

The organization believes that people should not be treated as mere recipient of grants or programmes. Unless people are regarded as pivots around which the whole development revolves no amount of external support will be enough to change their destiny

Staffing Pattern :

Presently 104 Nos. of full time/part time Staffs have been engaged in the different programmes of the organization. Out of these 14 Nos. of staffs are technical & 90 are social sector staffs and 50 volunteers are carried out the responsibility of the organization as per necessity.
